Founded nearly a century ago, F.B. Rich & Sons has been run since 1948 by the fourth generation of of the Rich family .
After leaving the Navy in 1918, George F. Rich, Sr. started a taxi and moving business in North Quincy, MA. The taxi was not large enough to accommodate the passengers and their baggage, so George convinced his father, F.B. Rich, to buy a truck to move the baggage. Later, F.B. and George were joined by another son, Ernest, and the company was officially established as F.B. Rich & Sons. Over the decades, the Rich family has continued to grow their business while maintaining a commitment to the highest level of customer service.
